Glenda’ causes P200M worth of damage in Cavite Typhoon Glenda left behind more than P200 million worth of damage to property, infrastructure and agriculture in the province of Cavite, Gov. Jonvic Remulla said Thursday. Medical establishments, meanwhile, have limited operations, the report said. Water supply to a large part of the province has also been cut off. More than 400 hectares of banana plantations in various towns were also destroyed, the report said. “Naubos ang aming mga tanim. Taon na ulit bago pakikinabangan 'yan,” said banana farmer Robert Collantes. On Wednesday, Remulla declared the province under a state of calamity to speed up the release of funds and for the implementation of a price freeze on basic commodities. Glenda battered the province for several hours Wednesday morning. The eye of the typhoon directly passed over the province, specifically over Noveleta town. “Ang estimate namin mga apat na libong bahay ang natanggalan ng bubong. Konti lang ang water damage dito pero puro wind damage. Mas maganda ang organization namin ngayon, dahil sa experience namin sa Habagat, natuto kami,” Remulla said. Classes in all levels, both in public and private schools will remain suspended on Friday, Remulla said. -- Elizabeth Marcelo/JDS, GMA News Reference: http://www.gmanetwork.com/news/story/370796/news/regions/glenda-causes-p200m-worth-of-damage-in-cavite |

![]() The Sabbath is the day where I just feel thankful for the life that the Lord has given me. Especially when I come to AIIAS as a church member and not as an employee, my whole persona changes. coz this campus has transformed from being the stressful "work" area back into the "chill out" place i've known since childhood. Thank you Lord for being so good to me. For giving me the priviledge to stay at "home" despite the fact that I was preparing myself to leave. Thank you that despite my staying here, I have friends all over the world who I can talk to anytime. And at the same time, I can make new friends and acquaintances thru the same medium. Thank you... for never leaving me. Despite my not being sure of where to go, I never had a reason to worry because You've proven time and time again that You are in control and that the life You have in store for me is an exciting adventure. Thank You Lord. Thank You.
and yes, the cover photos were also an exploration of the app... :)
After the graduation of my cousin in AUP, the celebration was supposed to be in Paseo. I made a detour.
I may be a graduate of AUP back in 2007, but I have never explored Nuvali. So I decided to stopped by and check out what was so interesting about the place. There were alot of tourists there... and just like them, I was drawn to the man made lake which was used for boating and other recreational activities. As I got to the edge of the lake, I was delighted to see some extremely well-fed fish that were swimming over each other to get the pellets of food that was being dropped by kids and adults alike. And so i grabbed my cam, and started capturing the action. Before posting the video, i thought it felt pretty bare, so I decided to put a small audio snippet from "Finding Nemo", specifically on when Bruce the shark said "Fish are Friends, not Food" coz I believe that's true in this case. :D |
